Hello, transfer case fluid must be changed per the factory maintenance guide at least every 50,000 miles for "normal duty" service, and more frequently for "severe duty". However, if your warning light is on, it likely indicates a problem in the system that requires diagnostic testing to determine the source. Good luck.
