Fuel pump is working fine.

Good old common sense!... Now: You CAN just replace the fuel level 'sending unit' if that's what you desire.... Keep in mind the age//mileage on truck and you may have to do this again when the pump fails!! .. That's entirely up to the person paying the bill...
Thanks for responding, but...Fuel flow seems fine. It is the fuel gauge sensor that seems to bear the problem. Is there more to a "sensor" affecting the gauge than I comprehend?
Most people replace the pump module rather than take the chance of another component within the pump module failing after repair attempt... Thats up to the individual paying the bill... Most want a warranty and the pump modules have a lifetime warranty.... IF doing this yourself... Well do it to suit yourself!.... It's a pretty involved task BTW.
