My issue was that while driving in 2WD the truck would shift to neutral but show 2WD, when placed in Auto 4WD, it never slipped out but would engage 4WD when turning vehicle.........I tried the suggestion, disconnected the encoder motor by pulling the 7 pin pigtail connector at the encoder motor....The "service 4WD" came on and no indicator lights on the selector switch but the truck drove in 2WD for approx 10 miles then went into neutral as before....After reconnecting the encoder motor, switched to A4WD then immediately to 2WD and this lasted for approx 100 miles before repeating the original problem.....purchased selector switch and installing tonight.....any other ideas?
