What causes heater blower, cruise, and traction system to quit at same time?

The 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 was working fine. I stopped the pickup for lunch and when I restarted the pickup to leave, the heater blower, the cruise control, and the traction system wouldn't work. Any ideas on what would cause this?
