• I installed 05 leather seats in my 2003 GMC Sierra SLT 1500 truck. The 05 seats are from a suburban they look the same as my 03 sierra seats, except the 05 has side airbags
• I was able to hook up all of the electrical, except for the airbags Adapter a different type . The large adapter/plugs for the wires between 03 and 05 are the same, Except the smaller Adapter/Plug was a different type with two wires blue and tan color on the 05 passenger seat adapter/plug from the 03 seats are tan/with a black stripe and solid pink color. I swap out the 03 adapter to the 05 adapter but now the passenger side airbag light is on ... any ideas or suggestions to get the air bag light off and insure the airbags are in working order would be appreciated, I know the side airbags will not work, as my 2003 sierra never had side airbags.

Make sure nothing at all is laying in the seat such as books, laptop etc.. That can trigger air bag off light..
Now you really do not want to test an air bag to make sure it WILL work - do you?
