when driving slow and 4wheel steer switches to 2wheel the truck drives down the road crab like, this can be corrected by restarting the truck any way I can fix this. Thank you Ray. it's a 2002 gmc qudrasteer

Unfortunately this is not something the DIYer is equipped to take care of - a professional scan test will be required to determin what the actual failure is.

I think there is a GM service bulletin concerning this issue - I do not have the bulletin. You can research > 2002 - 2005 Chevrolet/GMC Full Size Truck Utilities with Quadrasteer (NYS) Rear Wheel Steering Stays Turned Dog Track I mentioned this only so you could become more familiar with what needs to be done - by *qualified personnel*..
