engine quits, like it ran out of fuel, slight misfire and gone ! 160 K on it

I'd say bad fuel pump ,gotta check the fuel pump pressure ,just cause fuel pump is running ,doesn't mean its getting proper pressure.. Could/be that sensor two , you might have double trouble..
