Vehicle Owner: Sorry, we need more information to offer a possible solution ! any good Auto Technician would start with an interview of the customer, getting all the information about the failure, repair history, maintenance schedules, scan tool, check for communication & diagnostic trouble codes, test the battery voltage, check fluid levels and condition, check fuel pressure, & check the ignition systems operation, We make our diagnoses based on test results, not a guess.
DO A MANUAL OIL PRESSURE TEST AND IF GOOD REPL SENSOR
How and were do u check pressure
@ the oil pressure sensor location, or, if that is difficult, we use a tool which replaces the engine oil filter to test the pressure, you may be able to borrow that from autozone or advance auto parts.
IF YOU HAVE TO ASK YOU NEED TO HAVE IT DONE BY A GOOD MECHANIC, AS STATED IN PREVIOUS POST DIAG NEEDS TO BE BASED ON TESTING OF CERTAIN COMPONENTS. SEE POST BY WRAYS AUTO SERVICE HE EXPLAINS IT TO A T. VERY WELL DONE WRAY
THANKS GLOBAL HELPER ! WE HAVE TO EDUCATE THESE GOOD FOLKS !
YES WE DO
I'm not no know it all kinda person but I'm mechanically encline just when it comes to internal engine repair. But I'm going to get the tester now and I'll let y'all know guys thanks sofare.
The truck will run in park and let me press the accurater petal in park but only in drive and reverse when I press the gas it will allow it to move only around five feet then shut off and then the check oil pressure light blinks one time and that time it's in drive the oil pressure Gage goes back forth to 25 30 psi. I'm guessing oil pump going bad.
