i have a friend that has a very exp test device it tells him that all the cylenders on the pasenger side are mis firing at teh same time

Unplug the very expensive device and determine the CAUSE of the multiple misfire....vacuum leak , wiring damage , sensor problem...IF this' very expensive device' is truly a scanner , than that should be giving some basic info as to where to start , in the diagnostic process. Did this problem happen suddenly , or has it been getting worse over time?.......?
