Disconnect battery ground cable. Drain cooling system. Remove the serpentine drive belt. Remove upper fan shroud, fan and fan clutch assembly, then the water pump pulley. Remove water pump attaching bolts, then disconnect the heater hose from pump. Remove the water pump, Fig. 18 . Remove old gasket material. Reverse procedure to install, using suitable pipe sealant on bolt threads. Tighten water pump bolts to specifications Roy
