How to disengage four-wheel drive?

Allow enough time (couple seconds) for each transfer case selection to complete before making another selection - it’s not a piano! Note: 4 WD LOW is rarely (if ever) needed - unless rock climbing or pulling a plow, well maybe it’s a bit different in Colorado. Good luck!

Well that's one of problems, even in neutral it will not go in 4 high

Park on level ground - firmly apply parking brakes - have a helper turn key on and shift transmission into neutral then select 4hi - at same time someone lightly tapping on transfer case shift motor with small hammer or like tool MAY allow shift to complete.. Otherwise contact local auto repair facility for *hands-on* testing / repair.
