replaced Ign wire switch and coil new battery alternator cap rotor cntrl module.

have you checked the fuel pressure?

Just put a new fuel filter and pump it started but had to put gas down the carb won't stay running what do u think it could be now

when you turn the key switch to on,not start,you should hear the fuel pump prime(humm) for 2 seconds and then turns off.it will do this every time you turn key to run.if it does not prime(humm),it ain't starting.you need to check/replace the fuel pump fuse and the fuel pump relay.you are not getting fuel to the engine.you also have fusible links coming off the starter and firewall.check them also,one of them may be burnt.if so replace with same size fuse link.

So I was told to. Change the crankshaft positioning sensor what do would you say

you have to have 3 things before the engine will run.spark,fuel/air,compression!you already said you are getting spark.you said it will start and run if you pour gas in the throttle,but cuts off.so,did you check the fuel pump fuse and relay?you need to check for spark again,you need to check the fuel pressure also.and tell whoever told you to replace the crankshaft position sensor to show you where it is.there may be an old one in the back of your vehicle but it don't belong to your vehicle,because your truck DON'T HAVE ONE ON IT!!the ignition control module are bad to go out on this vehicle,have it checked.take it to autozone,they test for free!check fuel pressure also.

So I changed the fuel pump relay good on fuel pressure what else would you say it could be

ok,you said in one of your replies that you had spark,now you say you have good fuel pressure?where do you have spark?do you have spark at the plugs?remove one of the spark plug wires,take that plug out,put the wire back on it,set it next to a good ground source and crank the engine over.is the plug firing,good blue spark on plug to ground?post findings.also are the injectors spraying fuel?post findings.

Ok I put new spark plugs in it started for a few sec then died.

So I changed the spark plugs. It started for a few seconds then died.
