Check engine light ccar will shut off & when started it idles rough

What is your question?

The check engine light is on and will start to flash then the car stalls out. When restarted it idles very rough and the tach hand will bounce around. To keep it running I have to put in park and keep foot on gas to keep tach up around the 1 mark. If I take foot off gas it will stall out. It restarts with no problem but idles badly. It will start to run right after a short while I have had the throttle body cleaned but the light is still on. There is 94000 miles on car. I feel this is a safety issue since the car will just stall out
