How do I fix my heat in my 2005 GMC Envoy SLT?

I have no heat or A/C. The digital display on the HVAC Auto climate control module does not light up most of the time. Once in a while it will light up only to go off shortly after. I am not able to increase the air flow at all when the display is lit up. There are no noises heard. Please inform me what the problem is. It's getting cold here in Michigan!! I have watched several videos on YouTube but not exactly sure what the problem is?? Please Help!! Thank You.

PS I have purchased a new HVAC climate control module and a new heater resistor. I want to get an exact answer before I use either of them in case they are not needed.

It can't get worse. It doesn't work period.
