The engine coolant sensor on your 2004 GMC Envoy should be located on the side of cylinder head just to the rear of the exhaust manifold.

NOT ABLE TO LOCATE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR ON MY 22-R ENGINE.
