What is your question?
my question is my GMC envoy. It will shift into park neutral Drive in reverse but when I shift it into drive, it will not move forward. The RPMs will just rave up. I checked underneath the driver side to see if the shifter was still intact and it was I checked the transmission oil and I also added some transmission oil. I don’t know what else to look at. Please help.

Hi, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Thanks for all the detail, and we can understand how frustrating that must be! On your 2003 GMC Envoy the fact that reverse works but the vehicle won't move in drive with the RPMs revving up is a pretty telling symptom. When reverse works but drive doesn't it typically points to a problem with the forward clutch pack inside the transmission, which is the set of clutches specifically responsible for forward movement. Unfortunately this type of selective gear failure usually indicates internal transmission damage rather than something that can be fixed with a fluid top off or external adjustment. At this point I’d strongly recommend having a qualified transmission shop do a proper diagnosis before driving the vehicle any further, as continuing to rev the engine in drive with no movement can cause additional heat and damage inside the transmission and potentially turn what might be a repairable situation into a full replacement.
