Ever since I changed my battery the first time I cranked it up,when I turned on the a/c it idles down and has went dead.It will crank back up,but seems like it does it when the compressor engages, like every 4 or 5 seconds. It never did this until I had the battery changed out. When I turn the a/c off,it does just fine.Help

The exact same thing happened to me. I removed the throttle body assy and cleaned it with carb cleaner. Restarted engine with A/C off. Drove for 20 miles. Now it's running fine. I HAD SIMILAR PROBLEM.ALL I DID WAS ADD A CAN OF REFRIDGERANT WITH OIL OR THE ONE THAT HAS THE OIL ALONE, CAUSE YOUR A/C "WHERE U CONNECT THE HOSE" DOESNT HAVE SUFFICIENT OIL 2 MAKE THE COMPRESSOR NOT LOCK-UP OR GET YOUR A/C SYSTEM FLUSHED OUT.ANOTHER THING COULD BE TO CLEAN YOUR THROTTLE BODY OUT WITH THROTTLE BODY CLEANER OR CARB CLEANER....
That's exactly what was wrong with mine, but it cost me $80.00 to find out. He reset the battery to get the tach back right, but said it might not stay and if it didn't I would have to replace the gauge section.Sure enough it got off again, but if it doesn;t keep it from running I don't care. Thanks for your help.
