If it is a manual transmission. Try driving and second for a little longer before shifting into 3rd. Be sure to pick up the RPM's a little.

Automatic trans...4wd in d it's nutless to say the least. ..3rd has a lil but won't go any higher jus revs the **** out of it!
probably Time for a new transmission
