What is your question?
Just looking at a used 2017 canyon denali with 80,500 miles on it. Wanting to purchase as a 1st time female truck buyer and looking at if it's a good year or bad year for them to buy It says they have transmission problems along with a few other hiccups, but still a reliable truck. I wont be using a trailer to haul stuff, but will use the bed to haul things like a Christmas tree, dog, few slabs of wood. Nothing too heavy. If there r problems going to happen, would it show before 80,000 miles .so they would be fixed by now? I just dont want to spend $25,000.00 on a truck and within 3 oil changes the transmission go out. Thank u

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. It's a total mystery. On one hand, there's no reason to suspect or worry about a transmission concern or anything else with this vehicle. On the other -- it's a used vehicle with fairly high mileage, and there's no way to know what happened in the vehicle's past, a limited way to find out about maintenance performed and no way to know what the future holds. You can only go with what you know and how you feel about it. Problems do not necessarily appear before 80,000 miles necessarily, and generally speaking even if things had happened and they were repaired, it's no guarantee or even speculation that everything will be just fine. The best you can do is take the vehicle to a shop of your choice and have it looked over. Here's some near you: https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
