Would it cause the truck(an automatic) to shift late? A super rich smell? An injector not to spray?

The crankshaft sensor reads the position of the crankshaft to read the position of #1 and register the other cylinders and it needs to be synchronized with the cam sensor, which is the stator built into the distributer. Which is what was suggested prior.
Ok. What does all that mean? Lol...sorry.
Computer controls, and a '90 is simple compared to the newer ones.
