Sensor low battery in fob

If changing the batteries didn't resolve it and the rest of the functions controlled from the fob operate without issue, there may be an underlying software issue in the module responsible for monitoring their status. Given the age of your vehicle, I would reach out to your preferred GMC dealer to set up an appointment to have them investigate and resolve the issue.
