Car runs for 20 minutes in the driveway and the electric fan doesn’t even come on good sign or bad sign. I seen some steam.

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. If your vehicle is running - and at operating temperature - and not moving, I would expect the fan to come on at least sometimes. Your radiator requires air flow to cool the coolant. If there is no air flowing from driving down the road, then the fan must operate. Where do you see the steam from? What is the temperature gauge reading? It's likely you'll need some help from a shop near you to determine why the fan doesn't turn on. Does it turn on when you turn the air conditioning system on?
