Dies when I put it in gear

Hello, it's not immediately clear why this happens by the symptom alone. If engine performance components are not all working as designed - they will especially be exposed when then engine is suddenly under load -- such as when the transmission is shifted into gear. The engine idle speed automatically lowers quite a bit, and if there is an emissions, air, fuel or spark concern - stalling may occur. Additionally, a concern within the automatic transmission (assuming this is automatic equipped) may cause the engine to stop as well. Hands on testing is needed.
