keep having to add antifreeze. no known leaks. where is my thermostat located

Had that problem with my Explorer. It was a pinhole in the heater core and the way the heatercore is in the firewall you never noticed any leak. It finally got to where the leak got big and heater was blowing antifreeze into vehicle is how I found out. Check around heater core inside and out. Under fllor mat for wetness. And exterior hoses and fittings. Thermostat should be on end of top radiator hose connected to engine block. Go to www.autozone.com component location
thermostat is on driver side of engine,at the end of radiator hose,where hose connects to motor
thermostat is not there
