What is your question?
3 yrs ago i had my transmission overhauled. I have 164000 miles on my car now. The transmission seems to be having the same problem that it had before the trans was done before! The gear shift feels VERY sloppy, and I asked the guy who did the trans then whether he adjusted the gear shift thing and he said it was a different problem. I'm sure the gear shift shouldn't be so sloppy after just this amt of time. Also, when I took it in the first time , after we got it home it leaked trans fluid because they put the pan back in backwards. I took it back and when i realized that they made such a mistake i didnt want to take it back again, figuing they would keep messing it up. My question is this: now im going to take it to a dealership or a garage to have the bushings changed on the steering thing with the gear shift.. does that sound right? it shifts correctly IF i get the gear shift into the right slot.. but its so stripped now that its hard to find that slot.

It needs to be determined if the sloppiness is in the shift linkage or in the transmission. Sounds like it may have been determined that the shift linkage bushings are worn, and this would appear to be a good possibility. I think you're making a good decision to take it elsewhere.
check at the end of the steering wheel there are 2 bolts they are lose or gone easy fix
