What is your question?
It is sitting in a parking lot & I have never done this before. I don't even know where the starter is located or what tools I will need. But I can't afford a repair shop or a tow & all my friends say I should be able to do this.

These instructions are for a 2000 Windstar with the 3.0 engine. If you stand in front of vehicle then lay on ground and look under engine it will be next to the oil filter all most center of engine.Or you can follow positive battery cable to starter. It's been about 2 months since i did one. Remove battery cable. Starter bolts are on the other side towards the right of the tranny/bell housing.Bolts point towards the passenger side. If you look at the first picture you can see the starter has threads in it. The starter body(pic 2) points to the passengers side. There are only 2 bolts that hold the starter on.The wrench or socket size is i think 15mm.If you can get a set of sockets 8mm to 16mm and ratchet you should be all set.The hardest part is getting the bolts loose. If you wear thick gloves you will save some knuckle busting. The back of the starter(picture 2)has two wires on it.I think the big nut is 12 or 13mm.The small nut is 8mm. If you get the bolts off the stater, the starter might be hard to get off because of the stud between the starter gets stuck in the bell housing. http://www.911stopsmoking.com/repair-pal/ford=windstar-starter-front.jpg http://www.911stopsmoking.com/repair-pal/ford=windstar-starter-back.jpg
