a lot of the 3.8 long blocks are interchangable. the issue is you have to strip the used motor down to a long block and change everything over from your motor to the used motor. Lot of work for a used motor. have you considered a re man motor?? Roy

the answer to this question is found at the salvage yard. if you go in and just ask for engine X and then it doesn't fit, it's your problem. when you ask them, they will tell you and then it's their problem.

1999 and 2000 are directly interchangeable. 2001 and 2002 would require stripping things down further.
