My check engine light is on code P1518 came up as the IMRC how difficult and expensive is this to fix

Depends on what the problem is. There is an IMRC motor that can fail, but the intake system can also get gunked up and that would need to be cleaned. Either way, it will need to be diagnosed first to determine the corrective actions. Do some searching around the Ford Forums and you might find instructions for addressing this issue. Good Luck
