the car gets hot when i am going slow

it runs fine when i am going 60-70 but gets hot when i slow down

You likely have a fan clutch or fan problem. The reason it is ok at higher speeds is that the fan is really not needed at those speeds with that much air flow going across rad at highway speed but is very important at slower speeds.
