the air does not transfer from defrost . we have replaced the actuator but the door does not move. i was told to repace the blender door. but you have to buy the whole heater and evaporator boc. i am not sur how to do this whole box

On the Fords that I have done, you have to empty the A/C system , remove the dash and then remove the entire heater plenum to access the actual blend door. It is a pretty huge job that takes about 9 hours or more. Generally you can find another blend door at a junk yard, or sometimes at the dealerships. The gears on the shaft on the blend door, that are driven by the blend door actuator, are what become stripped.
