temp gauge staying on dim

Hello, You may not be running too hot, you may just be low on coolant. Check the reservoir, and see if the wires for the coolant level sensor are touching coolant inside the reservoir. If not, add until the full mark, according to the current temperature of the engine. If the light persists, have a coolant system pressure test done, and have the system tested for efficiency as well.
