Does the Intake Manifold need to be replaced? The mechanic wants $800 to replace

How much should the Intake Manifold cost to be replaced? Or just replace the seal? I have to add anti freeze to the container after it sits for a day or so. The mechanic said the Intake Manifold needs to be replaced. Not just a seal... does this sounds extreme? Yes, there are other leaks which have been addressed. Christina
