If my T-Bird sits for more than 2-3 hours it cranks but won't start.
What is your question?
It will eventually start after cranking it long enough for the check engine light go off and the fuel pump fills the line with pressure. It will also start if starting fluid is squirted into the throttle plate assembly. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator, the problem still exists.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I was down sick for awhile, then my computer went down. So here is what I got for fuel pressure readings, 35 psi as soon as the key is turned on but the pump keeps running as if it filling up the fuel line. I cannot get a running pressure because a few days ago the car quit running while I was driving it and wouldnot restart. I found that the hot wire from the battery had rubbed a bare spot on it and shorted against the frame. I replaced the cable but the car will only start and run for about 30 seconds or so,then it dies and will not restart unless it sits for a day or so. I sounds like it is running rich so I checked the plugs and they smelled like they were gas fouled. Any ideas on what happened. Thanks for your time I really appreciate your help. bobthemechanic49@yahoo.com
Bob, Possible faulty engine coolant temp sensor, - or - Sounds like one or more fuel injectors are leaking, I do not know how you are equipped with tools, so I recommend removing the fuel rail and operate the key with the rail connected to fuel lines & injectors in the rail, you should be able to identify the faulty injector(s)
