What is your question?
Car working perfectly fine until it wouldn't start. Once started the Wrench and Check Engine lights on the dash...took it to AutoZone where I got the code for a bad Crankshaft Position sensor so I'd like to see if I can install it myself...I've found a video on how to replace on a Ford Edge and a Ford Pickup but can't find anyplace to show me where the crankshaft position sensor is supposed to be.
What makes this problem better or worse?
No pattern, just happened for the first time yesterday that it wouldn't start and check engine light came on
How long has your 2019 Ford Taurus had this problem?
24 hours

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. So sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. The crankshaft position sensor on your Taurus is near the bottom of the engine, close to the crankshaft pulley or harmonic balancer. You'll typically need to access the sensor from underneath the vehicle to replace it. It's secured by a single bolt and will have an electrical connector attached. That said, other things, such as a failing battery, can cause a Crankshaft Position Sensor code. I would suggest starting with a battery test and then consulting a trusted repair shop if the battery tests good. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
