Car intermittently will not start.

Sounds like the dealer needs to keep working on a solution for you. If the problem persists, at least they can eliminate that possible cause. There are no real great suggestions here, because hands on testing is really needed, especially when the problem is occurring. Don't let up -- they need to keep working to find the solution, be it transmission range sensor, starter motor, ignition switch or something else.
