What is your question?
I had a bad caliper. I bought a new one to replace the old. When I took the banjo bolt out of the caliper, it was stuck in the fitting still, thus preventing me from putting the new copper washers and bolt in. It turns freely I beat on it tried maneuvering it around and it won't budget. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong or a way to get it out so I can put the new washers and bolt in?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It sounds like that banjo bolt on your Taurus is giving you a real hard time! If it’s turning freely but stuck, it could be seized inside the fitting due to corrosion or debris. Try soaking it with some penetrating oil and give it a bit of time to work its magic. Then, use a wrench to gently rock it back and forth—don’t force it too hard, though! If it's still being stubborn, a pair of locking pliers might help grip and wiggle it loose. In the worst-case scenario, some heat from a torch could break the bond, but be careful with brake components nearby.
