2008 ford Taurus sel problems see details

Same issue with mine and it turned out that there are two separate parts that Ford recommends changing out because they affect the transmission. One is a sensor that's inside the tranny, unfortunately, the other is a computer chip. I did have the chip changed but at the time wasn't aware of the other issue. What ticks me off is that I took it to the Ford dealers garage where I bought the car to have them do the work where, it was under warranty because I purchased an extended warranty, it should have been covered... I ended up paying for it luckily it was only 120 it could have been worse but the one thing I did find out online was that it can be coded two different ways... one wh÷re its chargeable to you and the other where its covered under warranty. The guys at this garage wouldn't listen to me, they acted like I was an idiot, probably because I'm a female, and they were too lazy to look it up. They should have been able to tell me about the other issue as well. By not telling me they have lost my business. You might want to Google 2008 issues for Taurus and recommended updates.
