Hello,
Do any of the warning lights still work when you turn the key on with the engine off?
Does anything at all work on the instrument cluster?
Is the air conditioner blowing cold?
So my battery was dead the other night was able to jump the car. Then yesterday same thing but when we jumped it there was no power to the radio, speedometer, rpms, and has gauge isn't working. Changed altanator with no change. Please help I'm at a loss???
Hello,
Though you may not have a warning light of any kind, have an auto parts store scan for codes. You will likely have a code that starts with the letter "B". Post every code you get in a reply here so I can evaluate them.
But first, under the left side of the dashboard, look in the fuse box and check fuses 22 (15A), 32 (10A), and 33 (15A). Let me know what you find.
You may have a bad smart junction box, instrument cluster, circuitry or fuses. Please note, there are several other causes, so avoid rushing out to buy parts without a diagnosis.
This is very common. It's a flaw with the computer system. If they volts get too low on the battery then it messes with everything. You need to disconnect your ground on your battery, wait a few seconds, and then reconnect it. Everything should be fine after that.
just to confirm that this just worked for me.
the battery could not hold a charge, resurrected with a trickle charger. then the dashboard won't come on, all gauges pointing to zero or empty. disconnected and reconnected the battery's negative. problem gone.
