My 2005 Ford Taurus won't start after accidentally turning off car in drive.

My car is a 2005 Ford Taurus se and I just got it today. When I went over to my friends house I had my foot on the brake and forgot I was in drive and turned my car off. And when I went to start it back up, all the lights, air, radio work but its doesn't turn over or make any sound. Used a battery charger for about 10 minutes but that didn't help it. Any thoughts please?
