Knocking sound coming from engine

2005 Front wheel drive ford taurus, I have just recently started hearing a slight knocking noise coming from the motor near the radiator side. I do not know if it is a rod bearing or something else. Can anyone help out? Thanks

You really need someone to hear your noise first hand to give you any sense of direction. Sorry. Rod bearings are more like a rapping than a knock.
