ford reman units run about 4500 for the part alone. labor is around 8 hours. dealers are the high price. check around at other shops for a bid. Roy

With full respect to Roy, I'm showing Ford remanufactured units available at closer to $2,200 - with labor of about 8 hours, I would guess your repairs to be about $3,300 parts and labor. It would be worth pricing out the dealer verses the aftermarket - Ford gives a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty on their remanufactured units now...not a bad guarantee for a pretty decent product.

I'm haveing on put in at a dealer for $3,000 . includes torque converter and 3 year unlimited mile guarantee.
