trans. slips or feels like it is at around 55mph tach even looks like it's going from drive to overdrive and back.Do I need a trans. This one has 110,000 miles on it.

You say "even looks like it's going from drive to overdrive and back" -- how can you tell? The best place to start with this transmission is by checking for failure codes. A gear ratio code or slip code may be present and may help paint a picture of what is wrong before tearing into it.
I can tell by the tach .RPM's raise and then go back at the same time I feel it slipping .
Don't forget that torque converter also "feels" like a shift and may show a tach variance. It can be slipping as well. You definitely need to try and monitor what is going on to have a good direction of repair.
the dealer told me the torque converter locks and unlocks.But under a strain it stays locked in .three days in the shop and thats all they figured out.Any idea's?.
