heat is not blowing from heater

Check your fuses, and your open and close valve on the hoses going into the firewall to the heater core.

Does the blower just blow cold air? Your blend door actuator may be inop...if you have a center consol shifter, you have to pull the radio/climate control module. If you have a column shift, then you just have to remove the glove box and can access it from under ash tray. If you google blend door actuator for Taurus, you will find this is very common. Its a $50 part.
