It would be easier to repair the defective door ajar switch. Try first to lubricate the door latches. Then, open and close the doors a few times. It's possible you can free up a binding door ajar switch. No luck? A diagnostic tool can pick up on which switch is failing very quickly. The switches are fairly inexpensive to fix.

my light was staying on also but I got some WD 40 and sprayed the locks on all the doors. I am talking about the lock assembly that keeps the door closed when the door is shut. When you pull the handle to open the door from the inside, the door assembly will move. When you put the oil on it , it is best to pull the inside handle a couple of times to make sure the oil is spread into the assembly. The assembly may be dried out and not functioning correctly. The oil will lubricate the assembly and make it work.
