I replaced the rear catalytic converter which had been gutted so it appears yet I still have the hoses being blown off. is this indicating that the rear cat is Clugged? it is hesitating and stumbles.

If the hoses are blowing off there must be to much back pressure in the exhaust system. Yes, I would suspect the converter being plugged. Do the hoses feel like they are tight to the DPFE and pipes, on the exhaust?
yes. I have and they are tight.sometimes the back pressure coming out of tubing actually lifts the transmission dipstick out.that is how powerful it is. Okay I will cut the cat off and check it out. will exhaust clamps work on a catalytic converter as I do not have a welder?
Clamps will work fine.
thank you.I will post back after I get done.might be a week as a car is a ways away.
