I have a 2001 Ford Taurus I'm looking for 3 setting the fuel pump shut off switch how do I do that is a switch. Be up position or down position for the gas tank to work

The switch in the trunk merely requires that the button is depressed. If you push it and it doesn't move, then it's not at issue here. Have you connected a fuel pressure gauge on the engine?
