When the compressor is on it blows nice cold air.

The A/C compressor should turn on and off. But, if it does it too often, then it may mean that the system is low on refrigerant, so I would have the system serviced, not just filled up. here are some shops: https://repairpal.com/ford-repair-in-north-ridgeville-ohio
