Looks like the EGR system is clogged or the EGR control failed. Insufficient flow or clogged EGR usually won't cause driveability problems, however it could fail the car -depending on your state - on the emission inspection. You need to take it to a mechanic and ask them to check the system, it might just need a cleaning. Zee
The most common problem is a bad DPFE sensor. Yes it could also be plugged EGR passages in the intake or tube or EGR control solenoid or wiring or PCM. So now you know why it is important to have a proper diagnosis.
