my a/c clutch is going bad and makes a flopping noise. I was told i could unplug the a/c since i never use it and it would disengage the clutch and stop the noise. So i need to locate the plug to do so.

The plug is a wire going in to the compressor, so you can disconnect that. https://repairpal.com/ford-repair-in-forest-city-north-carolina
Unplugging the compressor isnt going to help you at all. The problem is going to be a bad bearing in the ac pulley and will need to be replaced. It will let go one day and you will loose the belt.
Thank you very much . These newer vehicles are Greek to me. I like 1980 and older vehicles. I can work on them and not have to ask too many questions.
