"3 cans of freon" -- quite concerning. If you do not have proper equipment to add refrigerant and proper amounts of PAG oil for your new compressor, and cannot measure system pressures, how do you know the amount of refrigerant actually in your system? Quick cycling of the air conditioning system often times is caused by insufficient charge. It could also be caused by other system concerns. What happened to the old compressor which made you replace it? Have you replaced your accumulator? Have you checked the orifice tube for debris and replaced it? I can't stress enough that the average "do it yourself" technician is in no way qualified or certified by the EPA to handle refrigerants properly. Did you safely recover the refrigerant in the vehicle when replacing your compressor? What happened to it? Had it leaked? I urge you to seek professional guidance to resolve your concern.
